  1. Access the Options Menu: Navigate to the app’s “Options” menu and select “Profile.”
  2. Complete Your Profile Information: Fill in the following details:
    • Location: You can enter anything in the location field, but the most important thing is to click the GPS button and select your location on the map. GPS coordinates are used in searches to help find companies close to your location.

Please note: Your first and last names will be kept confidential and not displayed to anyone.

Finding Help Through the Job Hub

The Job Hub allows you to post an open job to be seen by potential companies:

  1. Navigate to the Job Hub: Locate the “Job Hub” section within the app.
  2. Create a New Job Posting: Click the “+” icon to initiate a new job listing.
  3. Craft a Compelling Title: Give your job a clear and concise title that accurately reflects the investigation needed.
  4. Select Job Type: Indicate the type of investigation required (e.g., Surveillance, Background Check, Missing Person).
  5. Specify Location Details: Choose the level of location detail you want to share:
    • Enter a zip code or state for a broader area search.
    • Utilize the GPS icon to pinpoint the specific job location on a map. This will be visible to potential PIs searching for cases.
  6. Set Time Frame and Experience: Indicate the preferred start time for the investigation and its expected duration. You can also specify desired experience levels for PIs if applicable.
  7. Describe Your Needs: Provide a detailed description of the job, outlining the situation and the type of assistance you require. Be sure to avoid including any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that could compromise privacy.
  8. Save Your Job Posting: Once all details are entered, click “Save Job” to make your listing visible to Private Investigators on the app.

Managing Your Open Jobs

Here’s how to keep track of your open postings:

  1. View Open Jobs: Your home screen will display a list of all the jobs you’ve currently posted on the Job Hub.
  2. Accessing Job Details: Click on a specific job listing to view its details, including the title, description, location, and desired start time.
  3. Managing Your Job Posting (Manage Job): This option allows you to:
    • Edit Details: Make changes to the job title, description, location, or other relevant information.
    • Mark Job as Completed: Once the investigation is finished, use this feature to close the job listing.
    • Assign Job: After selecting a PI through messages, use this feature to officially assign the job to them.
    • Rate Job (Available after assigning the job): This feature allows you to leave a rating and review for the assigned PI or company. This option will be inactive (greyed out) until you assign the job. While you can leave a rating while the job is open, it’s recommended to wait until the job is completed for a more accurate evaluation.
    • Delete Job: Use this option to remove an old job posting or one with an error. It’s important to avoid deleting completed jobs.
    • Clear Assignment (New): This feature allows you to remove a previously assigned PI or company from the job. You might use this if they accept the case but later decide not to take it on, or if you choose to assign the job to someone else.

Important Note: When you use “Clear Assignment,” it’s recommended to communicate this decision clearly with the PI or company involved to avoid any misunderstandings.

Staying Connected Through Messages

Look out for new messages:

  • The app will display an exclamation mark “!” next to the “Messages” tab if you have unread messages.
  • Regularly checking your messages ensures you don’t miss any replies from interested companies.

Using the Messages section:

  • This section allows you to read and respond to messages from PIs or companies who may be contacting you about one of your job postings.

Managing your message list:

  • To hide a message from your view without deleting it, simply swipe the message from right to left.
